EiQ Industrial participated in the Europack Euromanut CFIA exhibition held in Lyon from November 19 to 21. In fact, France is one of the main outlet markets for Italian packaging machinery companies, and EiQ Industrial, which manufactures switchboards for this sector, is also investing in business growth there.
The event was dedicated to professionals from the entire packaging, handling, and logistics supply chain. It took place in one of France’s most industrialized regions, thanks to its strategic location as a European crossroads, proximity to major markets, concentration of expertise and strong research and innovation potential.
The company’s sales team presented the new range of EHEDG-compliant switchboards made with the patented hygienic system, ideal for food applications where working environments are particularly critical. Solutions in this line include junction boxes, enclosures, cabinets and protective caps for forced ventilation.
The product range is the result of a dedicated study by the Technical Department, which worked from market demands to seek the best solutions in terms of hygiene, robustness, protection and certification.
The result is an entire line certified IP66, IP69K as well as UL (Underwriters Laboratories). In addition, the outer hinges of the switchboards are certified according to EHEDG standards and ensure the perfect alignment of the sash. In addition, uniform pressure on the blue silicone seal to ensure watertightness and a sash load capacity of up to 70 kg. Finally, the gasket of electrical panels also meets FDA (Food and Drug Administration) standards and is UL certified.
The fair confirmed the vitality of the European market in the packaging sector: suffice it to say that from 450 exhibitors in 2013, Europack Euromanut CFIA has grown to host as many as 650 registered companies this year.
In Italy, by the way, the packaging market mainly involves the automatic machine sector. According to the UCIMA Study CenterIn 2018, the performance of the packaging machinery sector remained positive. Thanks to a turnover of 7.85 billion euros (+9.4 percent over the previous year). A boost, this, favored both on the domestic front and in the international market. This is one of the sectors with the highest export vocation that concerns precisely the countries of the European Union (almost 40 percent of the total), including, precisely, France.
Not only that, because to give an even greater idea of the weight of this sector for the Italian and European economies, another UCIMA figure is sufficient: 50 percent of the automatic packaging and wrapping machines sold in the world are Italian or German .
